Alum-A-Pole Pump Jack Scaffolding: Safe, Strong, and Built for Height

When it comes to working at elevation, precision and safety matter. That’s why siding, construction, roofing, painting, and window installation pros rely on the Alum-A-Pole® pump jack scaffolding system. Engineered for stability, portability, and performance, pump jack scaffolding helps crews work smarter and safer—no matter the job.

What Is Pump Jack Scaffolding?

Alum-A-Pole pump jack scaffolding is the safest vertical scaffolding system that allows users to raise or lower the working platform with a simple foot-powered pump mechanism.

Unlike bulky fixed scaffolding, pump jack systems are easy to transport, quick to set up, and efficient to operate. Workers can move the platform smoothly as needed, ensuring they’re always at the optimal height for the task at hand.

Why Choose the Alum-A-Pole System?

The Alum-A-Pole Scaffolding System is a standout in the pump jack scaffolding market. Designed with both safety and efficiency in mind, our top-rated scaffolding for professionals offers several features that make it the best choice for contractors:

Comfort And Control At Any Height

Easily adjust your working height to exactly where you need it.

OSHA-Recognized Height Capability

Alum-A-Pole pump jack siding scaffolding is stackable, allowing a maximum OSHA-compliant shoulder working height of
50 feet.

Superior Strength
And Safety

With square-runged aluminum staging and multiple built-in safety features, our system supports heavy-duty work without compromising user safety. Our safety nets are rated for people, not debris, and are named for retired OSHA Head Compliance Officer Bill Simms (Simms’ Saf-T-Net), who recognized Alum-A-Pole as the industry standard.

Expandable Walkways

All our stages are set with the same I-Rail height, unlike competitors, so we can expand horizontally to create a continuous, stable walkway—ideal for larger siding or painting jobs.

Full Systems Available

Complete Alum-A-Pole system packages make it easy to get everything you need in one purchase, and unlike competitors, our complete system includes everything you need for OSHA compliance.

The Alum-A-Pole Pump Jack Scaffolding System includes:

Alum-A-Pole

The foundation of the system, Alum-A-Poles are lab-tested and feature industrial-grade rubber attached to structural aluminum. Available in 6′, 12′, 18′, and 24′ lengths, these rugged poles come with a limited lifetime warranty and provide unmatched durability and height flexibility.

Alum-A-Joint

Designed to connect two Alum-A-Poles, the Alum-A-Joint extends vertical reach and boosts pole strength. Built with two separate safety stops, it offers reliable and secure pole splicing up to a 50’ OSHA-compliant working height.

Alum-A-Brace

Powder coated for durability, this foldable or rigid brace is essential for stabilizing all scaffolding setups. With its multi-angle swivel and rapid setup design, the Alum-A-Brace easily attaches to virtually any wall or roof.

Pro-Jack

The Pro-Jack is a powerful pump jack unit that telescopes to 27 inches and is built from structural aluminum. It exceeds OSHA’s 500 lb. 4:1 safety ratio and includes three backup safety systems, a self-storing Saf-T-Crank handle, and a Saf-T-Lok Chain to lock staging in place and deter theft.

Pro-Bench

A stable, telescoping workbench that extends to 27 inches. The Pro-Bench includes the Saf-T-Lok Chain for theft prevention and to ensure secure positioning during use and storage.

Alum-A-Scaff

Available in lengths up to 24 feet and widths of 14″, 20″, and 24″, Alum-A-Scaff platforms feature open-hole industrial decking for a non-slip surface and square rungs for superior strength. Hand-friendly handles allow for linkable scaff connections and simplify transport and uniform I-Rail height to allow safe connection for longer sections.

Saf-T-Net/Sign

This 22-foot foldable safety net helps prevent falls, is easy to install, and doubles as a customizable jobsite sign. This net is designed as a true fall protection, unlike other nets on the market which are made for debris.

End Rail System

A critical safety component, the End Rail System prevents walk-off accidents. It installs easily and features infinite slide positioning.

Pump Jack Scaffolding FAQ

Our system can be linked together horizontally indefinitely. Alum-A-Scaffs have a male and female end that can be nested on the jack/bench and secured with the Saf-T-Chain. This can be done repeatedly, as needed.

The system is approved to a 50′ shoulder working height by OSHA.

Our system is rated for 2-man/500 pounds with the 4:1 overall safety ratio required by OSHA and other regulator standards.

Our longest Alum-A-Scaff is 24 feet. To maintain the highest level of safety, 24’ is the longest scaff possible.

Do not use other manufacturer’s products with Alum-A-Pole Scaffolding as parts of our system simply won’t connect properly to other manufacturer’s products. Mixing and matching brands will only increase the potential for issues and/or OSHA scrutiny.

No. Our Saf-T-Nets and End Rails are designed to fit our Alum-A-Scaffs only and will not attach properly to another manufacturer’s walkboard.
